Pizza Party

I teamed up with a bunch of talented ladies on Instagram to bring DIY Pizza Party tips, tricks, and recipes! During quarantine, we have been trying to support local small businesses whenever possible. I thought this would be a great time to collab with some local businesses. I reached out to a new family-owned local pizzeria, Martino’s! The owners are so sweet and their food is fresh and delish! They provided the pizza dough for our party set up, it was amazing!

Tisha’s Tip: Buy pizza dough from your local pizzeria! It makes pizza making at home easy breezy and the dough is out of this world.

I also reached out to a local cookie artist, Jennifer from Cake with aside of Cookies! She made these adorable pizza slice sugar cookies!

This party set up was so fun, affordable, and yummy! I bought just about all of the supplies for this party at the dollar store!

Tisha’s Tip: Always check the dollar store before shopping anywhere else. The majority of the time, they will have items that fit your theme, and it’s only $1, can’t beat it!

Dollar Store Haul:

  • Red and White Plastic Tableclothes
  • Aluminum To Go Containers
  • Butcher Paper Roll
  • Pizza Pans
  • Mini Serving Cups
  • Plates (Solid red and red/white checkered)
  • Red paper cups
  • Mustaches
  • Brown paper bags
  • Mini Chalk Board Easle
  • Mini Crates

I put one plastic red & white table on the dining table and topped it with a butcher paper runner doing down the center of the table.

Tisha’s Tip: Add another red & white plastic tablecloth on top with another butcher paper runner on top of that. This allows you to roll up the mess once everyone is done making their pizza and you’re left with a clean tablecloth ready for place settings in seconds!

I layered these red & white square plates with red round plates for each setting and topped them off with the cutest pizza slice sugar cookies! Add a paper cup and these DIY mustache straws and you’re well on your way to the cutest little pizza-themed place setting!

Let’s talk about the pizza bar set up, how cute is this?! I used the same matching red & white tablecloth and added the butcher paper runner to match the dining table. I had to cut the tablecloth down a bit because it was too long. I used the tablecloth scrap to cut into 6”x 6” squares. I used these as the “parchment paper” squares to display the finished mini pizzas on the Dining table. They looked like the parchment paper you get in the pizzeria when you order a slice, love this little pop of detail!

To create levels I layered crates and cake stands! I added pizza pans on top of my mini cake stands to create a larger stand and to add a festive detail.

I love these little DIY message boards! Get creative and add a quote or the name of the guest of honor for a personalized touch.

I used some spaghetti from my pantry and put it in a mason jar for my display table centerpiece, I added this DIY pizza garland & pizza pie backdrop graphic! I simply cut cardstock with my cutting machine and attached all the layers with foam stickers to give it dimention. I made 8 individual slices and taped them to the wall with painter’s tape and 7 smaller slices to make my garland.

Once you have your pizza bar styled and set up start prepping your dough. I separated it into personal size balls and placed them in the aluminum to-go containers (I drizzled a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the bottom before adding the ball of dough). I lined them up at the front of my display. Be sure you put the pizza dough out right before serving, if it sits out too long uncovered, it will form a skin….we don’t want that!

Tisha’s Tip: Do you have leftover pizza dough? Make a quick and easy dessert your guests will drool over, Zeppoli! Check out this super simple and yummy recipe that only takes about 5 minutes to make!

Let’s make some Pizza!!! To get started; Have each guest grab a to-go container with the ball of dough, a cup of marinara, have them scoop some cheese into an empty small cup (same cups that toppings are displayed in) and choose their toppings.

Next, have them bring all of their ingredients to the table. Press the dough out to cover the bottom of the container. Now it’s time to top the pizzas with their desired ingredients. The best part about this, they can go directly in the oven in these aluminum pans once they are assembled! NO MESS!

I hope these ideas and recipes have you excited and inspired to throw a Build Your Own pizza party!

Tag us if you host a pizza party, we’d love to see it!
