Living Room Glamping

We are two Months into Quarantine and I wanted to bring the great outdoors inside! We’ve been trying to get creative with the activities we’ve been doing to keep us from going stir crazy!

This is a great activity to do with your kiddos for little to no expense.

Since walking around Home Goods isn’t really in the cards right now, my new favorite thing to do is to shop my house. Yes, I said shop my house!

I walk around the house and look for items I can repurpose to style my set up!

I made the tent in about a hour while Della was napping! I made it with all items I had around the house, this entire set up cost me $0! The only items I purchased were the ingredients for S’Mores on my last grocery order.

Once the tent structure was built, I covered it with an old curtain panel and some floral garlands I had in my craft room. I taped some battery powered string lights to the inside of the tent.

I added a baby comforter to act as the mattress, then placed a quilt on top (this is the first quilt I ever made!) and then styled with some pillows.

I had these adorable DIY Dream Catchers I made left over from a previous party I styled.

I placed DIY Cactus Balloons in some terra cotta pots to either side of the tent, (This also helped keep the tent stabilized) I had them laying around in the garage from the dollar store. I added mini LED balls to the balloons before inflating them, it turned them into little cactus night lights once it got dark outside!

Next we made our indoor DIY fire pit! I used another terra cotta pot, filled it with aluminum foil, sand, candles, and called it a day!

Tisha’s Tip: Paint the terra cotta pot with a fun boho vibe! Another fun activity to keep the little ones occupied!

Style the pot on a tray with all your S’Mores goodies and skewers!

Now all you need to do is to wait for it to get dark outside, light your “campfire” candles and enjoy some S’mores with your family in your living room!
