One of my dear friends allowed me to help with her adorable daughter’s birthday party! She decided to have the party at the park and it was so fun transforming the space.
We decided on this sweet hot air balloon theme! I got so incredibly lucky with this theme. I was able to find the majority of the the supplies at the dollar store! I was able to make all of these decorations for about $50!
I made these adorable hot air balloons in one afternoon. They were so quick and easy, check out this DIY tutorial.
Using white balloons from the dollar store, I clustered them together to make three balloon clouds. These filled the space nicely and played well with the hot air balloons. I am proud to say that all of these decorations are completely wind-proof! About half way through the party, the wind picked up. The hot air balloons and clouds were getting blown all over the place! I was stressed to say the least! haha…But they stayed up and in one piece!
I made this headband out of scrap trim I had in my craft room. Click here for the DIY tutorial.
I draped these curtains on all of the pillars of the pavilion. You’ll never guess what they are….PLASTIC TABLE CLOTHS! We simply taped them with packing tape and then tied them to the pillar with the same ribbon we used on the hot air balloons.
This was my gift to this beautiful little one, I made her a hot air balloon cake to go along with the theme for the party. Can you guess what what this topper is made out of ? Click here for the tutorial
I hope you loved this party as much as we did!
Happy Crafting!
