DIY Trolls Hair Headband

Materials:

  • Plastic Headbands
  • Rolls of tulle in several colors
  • Scissors
  • Felt in multiple colors
  • Mini rubberbands
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Accuquilt with flower dye cut (not affiliated, I just really love this machine!)

This was an inexpensive project that didn’t take much time to make. It gave the kids something to wear for the party as well as act as a favor. I actually got all the tulle tied to the headbands while I was in the waiting at the Hospital for my Bestie to have her baby! You should have seen the looks I was getting, I was surrounded by piles of rainbow tulle! Once I got home all I had to do was tie them and add the flowers!

Let’s get started!

I used tulle that comes a roll, this made the prep go much faster. It’s precut to 6″ wide, all I had to do was cut it into 24″ long strips

Fold the strips in half, hold the folded side under the headband. Place the ends of the tulle through the folded loop and pull through. Repeat this with 8 strips.

Place a dot of hot glue on each side of the headband next to where the tulle ends to prevent the knots from sliding off the headband.

Tie tulle together with a rubber band to create the troll silhouette.

I used my accuquilt machine to cut out flowers (the same as the hug time bracelets) and got glued them to the front of the troll hair. This is not a sponsered post or a gift, I paid for the product and I simply love it!

Each headband was different!
