Materials:
- 4 1/2 Foam Poster Boards (dollar store)
- Heavy Duty Duct Tape or Gaffers Tape
- Box Cutter
- Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue Sticks
Start by taping two boards together, tape both sides of the seam
Repeat this step on the second pair of foam boards
You should have two sets of two boards tapped together
Cut 4 stripes of your extra board about 2 1/2in to 3in wide
Hot glue a foam board strip to either side of the seam covering the tape. Do this on both sets
Stand your boards up and hot glue their top edges together to create your tent shape
Add Tape to the top seam covering the hot glue
Cut a thin strip of poster board and hot glue under the top seam
Cover seam with tape
Use a 7″ wide piece of foam board and hold it up to the back of your tent
Mark the board where the tent touches it and trim
Hot glue to the back of the structure and reinforce with tape
Your tent is built!
Now cover with your favorite sheet, tablecloth, curtain panel, etc. or have your little ones decorate it with paint or markers!
