This Mom to be had a very clear vision for what she wanted for her shower. She wanted a modern pastel outer space gender neutral theme. She said specifically, please don’t put a face on anything! I was up for the challenge and started making my design boards.
I decided to do gold and glitter cut outs of moon phases and stars. I went with a more intricate star instead of your tradition 5 point star. I wanted to make sure this wasn’t leaning towards twinkle twinkle little star. That wasn’t the esthetic for the shower. These little cut out tied the entire party together. I made garland for the mantel and food table, added them as confetti on the long dining table, and I also attached them as little accents on the balloon garland!
We went with pastel blues, purples, and golds for the color scheme and I loved how it came out! We got balloons in these colors for the balloon garland photo backdrop. This back drop took about 100 balloons. It sounds like a lot of balloons to blow up but I have some awesome tools that make the job painless and fast! I am obsessed with my balloon compressor, balloon garland tape and glue dots! These three items make these projects a breeze! Check out how I put this backdrop display together in under a hour!
She also had little hints of geodes. How adorable are these geode cake pops by @Kellystrasz!
I feel like every shower needs a Mimosa bar and I love this play on words with this one!
Ashleigh’s Mom’s friend in Southern California made these beautiful space cookies!
The party was a huge success and the Mom and Dad to be were over the moon, full of happiness and love! See what I did there?
As always, I hope these ideas inspired you for your next event, tag us or send us photos of your parties and ideas! We love to see what you come up with!
