ONE Sugar Cookies

Have you seen the price tag on custom sugar cookies? While they are gorgeous, they add up very quickly. I recently tried making them for the first time not too long ago for a baby shower and it was the most stressful and time consuming experience! I have found some short cuts that make this easy, affordable, and beautiful!

Start by making your sugar cookies. You can see my sugar cookie recipe here. Roll them out to be about 1/4in thick, I’ve found this helps them keep their shape. Allow to cool over night before icing.

Here is my genius trick that saves so much time and makes the cookies look clean and professional. I use store bought fondant! Sprinkle powdered sugar on your counter and rolling pin. Roll out your fondant and cut out using the same cookie cutter you used for the cookies.

Wet your finger and brush the water onto the back of the fondant. Attach the fondant to the cookie and that’s it!

I used a little royal icing on the top edge to use as my glue to attach the sprinkles. You can make this from scratch or buy a tub at your local craft store.

I placed each cookie in a bag and they served as the party favors. I was so pleased with how they turned out and how easy they were to make!

Happy Crafting!
