Easter Bunny Balloons

Materials:

  • White balloons (I used 9″)
  • Pink Cardstock
  • White Cardstock
  • 1/2in Hole Punch or Pink Permanent Marker
  • Black Permanent Marker
  • Fishing line
  • Clear Packing Tape
  • Glue Stick/Glue Dots
  • Scissors

Blow up your balloon and knot

Draw the lashes, nose and mouth on the front of your balloon with the black permanent marker.

Using your hole punch, cut out two circles from your pink cardstock (you can draw these on with a pink marker instead if you don’t have a hole punch)

Attach the pink circles (cheeks) to the front of the balloon with glue dots

Cut out two white ears from your white cardstock. I wanted mine to be floppy, they are 8 1/2in tall.

Cut out two pink ear centers from your pink cardstock

Curl the top half of the ears (and pink centers) using a pencil or dowel

Glue the pink centers to the ears with a glue stick

Fold back the bottom 1/2 in of the ear

Attach a large strip of packing tape to the base of the ear and tape to the top of the balloon.

Cut about a 2.5ft piece of fishing line. Fold it in half to find the center, add a piece of tape at the center point.

Attach center of fishing line to the top center of the balloon. Then secure each tail of the fishing line behind each ear with a small square of tape. This will keep the bunny from flipping over once hung.

Simply tie the fishing line to whatever you decide to hang them from and watch your neighbors start peeking out there windows to check out this cuteness!
