Materials:
- Glitter cardstock
- Gold poster board or cardstock
- Cutting machine and or punches
- Fishing line
- Glue stick
I started by cutting out circles with me 2in” hole punch, once I fill my cardstock sheet with hole, I went in and used my scraps to make the moon phases.
As you can see in the photo above, I only added the cardstock about 1/3 of the way into the punch and this created the perfect moon shapes.
For the stars I created two different sizes to give the garland interest and some variety. Cut twice as many as you need for the length of your garland.
With your glue stick, add glue to the back of the cutout
Place fishing line through the center of the cutout
Place the same size cut out on top to sandwich the fishing line between the two stars.
Continue this technique with all your cut outs until you have your desired length. I ended up making about 45 feet of garland total.
Tisha’s Tip: Check out the kids crafting section for this gold poster board and glitter card stock. They have gold poster board for a dollar, you get 6 times the amount of product for the same price as the 12×12 sheets. They also have gold glitter poster board that is the exact same quality as the 12×12 sheets and it’s half the price for more product! Love it!
