Living in the desert presents some problems when you need sticks… I had order mine online. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any that were larger than 5”. So I decided to use them longer. That they were durable I have glued them together and then wrap them with gaffers tape.
To add texture, details and stability I wrapped the stick with embroidery floss. Tie the thread to the stick and put a dot of super glue on the knot. Hold the tail flat to the stick and start to wrap the stick and tail. When you have your desired width, knot the string to the tail, put a dot of glue on the knot and trim.
Continue this above process until you have all of the desired colors wrapped.
Put a dot of hot glue on the stick and place the second stick on top of the glue.
Glue the third stick into place and wrap with thread to secure.
Make a small bouquet of flowers and wrap with thread to secure leaving a long tail of thread.
Wrap the tail of thread around the sticks and glue into place.
Glue some feathers to the flower cluster
That’s it! The cutest little teepee’s you’ve ever seen! I used one as a cake topper and the other two were decoration for the dessert table.
